Choosing a Quran video format: Reels or landscape YouTube?
There is no single aspect ratio for every use. Choose orientation for the viewing context and keep verses and logos clear of cropping and interface controls.
Choose orientation for the way people will watch
Portrait video often suits phone scrolling, while landscape offers more room for scenery and verses in a long video. A square layout may work for a general feed post, but it uses less of a phone screen than a portrait video.
The studio lets you choose a Reel or long-form project and adjust dimensions manually. Platform presets are helpful starting points, not a restriction. Check the destination's current requirements before publishing because specifications can change.
Keep element positions in mind when changing ratio
Switching from portrait to landscape changes the shape of the workspace. Keep verses and logos within a safe area, then review every element after changing dimensions. If you need multiple versions, export a separate layout for each ratio instead of stretching a design made for another format.
Make text readable on a phone and keep it away from the edges. YouTube or Reels interface elements may cover part of the frame with controls or account details, so leave enough margin around important words.
Balance scenery with text and audio
A beautiful scene is not useful if it distracts from the recitation or makes verses difficult to read. Choose a calmer background or add sufficient contrast behind the text. Leave visual space between the verse, translation, and logo so the layout does not feel crowded.
Listen through phone speakers before publishing. Audio that sounds balanced on a computer may be quiet on a phone, and different headphones can reveal background noise you did not notice before.
Export a version for each destination
Before export, check duration, dimensions, quality, and the limits included in your plan. Preview at the final ratio, then play the exported file to confirm the audio, text, and background are intact.
One clip can be shared on more than one platform, but a single file is not always ideal for every destination. Choose a title, description, and aspect ratio for each audience, and rearrange elements when the viewing context changes.
