From recitation audio to finished video: a pre-export checklist

Use this checklist to catch recording, trimming, synchronization, and design issues before downloading your recitation video.

Check the audio before designing

Listen from the beginning and identify silence, noise, and pauses. Choose a section with a natural opening and ending instead of relying only on duration. Keep an original copy so you can return to it if the trim needs to change.

If you apply audio enhancement, compare the result with the original and listen for clear words. Strong processing can change the voice or hide detail. Choose settings that preserve clarity, and do not assume noise or echo was removed until you have listened.

Match the text to the audio source

Review verses word by word and confirm the surah, boundaries, and verse numbers. Correct the text first, then check its display timing again. If the recording includes more than one surah, verify the transition and each surah name rather than relying on an automatic guess.

Test the trim by listening only to the selected range, then move the playhead within it and confirm it begins in the right place. A visible waveform is not enough; listening reveals abrupt cuts or missing audio.

Review layout and sound on the target device

Preview the video at the dimensions you plan to publish and inspect the logo, verses, and any additional layers. Check that text does not overlap and that borders or shadows do not cover letters. Try the background at normal phone brightness, not only while zoomed into the editor.

Play audio from more than one point and check for steady levels, unintended silence, or stutters. Listen to the recitation and background together, especially if you added music or another sound to the project, and make sure it suits the way you plan to publish.

Play the exported file before sharing

After downloading, open the final file in a separate player and watch it from start to finish. Check image, audio, duration, and dimensions, then keep the reviewed copy. A preview helps with editing, but the final file is what your audience will see.

Make sure you have rights to the audio and backgrounds you use and follow each platform's policies. When the video is ready, add a clear title and description that explain what the clip is about.
