Prepare your room and microphone

Open the video creator and choose to start recording, then allow the browser to access your microphone. Record in a quiet space, keep your phone or microphone steady, and use a comfortable distance from the reader. Before the take, confirm that the browser selected the right input and that the level is not distorted.

A recording waveform appears while audio is being captured, helping you see that an input signal is present. It is only a visual indicator; listen to the actual file afterward to check clarity, silence, and dropouts.

Monitor the microphone in real time

You can turn on live monitoring to hear the microphone while recording. Its settings can use the same audio effects available in the audio tab. The amount of delay depends on the browser, device, and audio hardware, so monitoring may not feel instantaneous on every setup.

Use earphones or headphones while monitoring. Playing microphone audio through the device speakers can feed it back into the microphone and cause echo or squealing. Set a comfortable level before reading and turn monitoring off if you hear feedback.

Review the take and select a clip

After stopping the recording, play the file and listen to both ends. The clip editor lets you set and move the start and end points, then listen to the selected portion before confirming it. Choose natural boundaries that do not cut a word or verse.

Once confirmed, the recording can move on to text preparation and verse synchronization, which you can review before designing the video. Keep the original recording and verify Quran text and timing yourself before export or publication.
